We were called to a home in Sodus, NY for concerns with an exterior service cable and meter enclosure that was frayed, pulling from the house and very much worn out from years of weathering, as happens in Upstate New York. Water had been running down the cable and entered the meter enclosure which in returned caused damage as well as a safety concern. Our service technicians installed a new riser cable as well as a new meter box. As you can see here, a much safer situation for the homeowner with these much needed repairs.
This local company's warehouse was poorly lit due to old lighting and blown bulbs. We replaced 26 fixtures with new LED's and their warehouse looks cleaner, brighter and safer since our install!
This customer in Auburn NY had this 12kw Generac installed some time ago. It was getting older and their needs became greater as a homeowner. We were able to swap this unit out with a new 18kw Generac generator. The old generator was not able to carry much of the load due to its size and therefore the transfer switch would only protect certain circuits in the house. We were able to replace the transfer switch with a new whole house switch that will protect all of the circuits in the house in the event of an outage. This will give the homeowner greater comfort knowing that they are well protected compared to before.
In the original picture, our technicians found this old disconnect was used in place of a junction box. As you can see, the wiring is clearly unsafe and not attached to the wall properly, as it was just hanging over the plumbing in the home. The subfeed wires were not properly incased in a conduit either. All of these problems can be very dangerous, so our technicians took proper action to remedy the situation. Our technicians cleaned up the wiring nicely and made everything much neater and safer, and installed a junction box for all of the wires to be held and organized.
As you can see in the before picture, this old fuse box was wired very unsafely with wires hanging down. Our technicians fixed this problem by installing a 200 amp service on the front of the home, and we sub fed the wiring to the new 100 amp sub panel on the other side of the home. The after picture shows the sub panel with all of the wiring nicely organized and cleaned up far better than the previous fuse box. The new electrical service and sub panel are much more up to date and are a much safer option than the fuse box.
