Power Outage for Williamson, NY Homeowner Prompts Underground Electric Repair
Challenge
A Williamson, NY homeowner contacted our office in early October indicating that Rochester Gas and Electric had been out to her house for a power outage in half of her home. It was determined that the main underground wire was damaged somewhere between the transformer to the pole and that repairs were necessary to get her back to full power.
Solution
Our expert technicians stepped in with a backhoe and new underground cable and were able to restore power to the entire home again. Thankfully our temperatures for that time of year were more mild than most. Typically they range in the 40's while an unusually mild early winter allowed us to be in the mid 50's keeping from freezing the homeowners pipes and causing additional damage.
After repairs were made and inspected, this homeowner happily also chose for us to install a new standby generator, keeping her power on all year round, no matter what.
