Water & Electricity Not a Good Mixture!
Challenge
Recently, Marlock Electric was contacted to address and fix the electrical hazard the customer is experiencing. The customer had noticed a problem for the past 6 months and felt a sense of urgency to address the possible issue. When the tech arrived, we found the riser cable that was connected to the meter box, had a crack in the cable and was allowing water to seep in. The biggest problem was the corrosion we found inside the customers panel box. Moisture that enters the panel box can corrode electrical wiring & circuit breakers, which create rust and in severe cases, can cause fires.
Solution
Our technicians at Marlock Electric were able to replace & upgrade the corroded panel box and the riser cable on the outside of the house. As you can see in the pictures, our technicians installed a new panel with all wires being ran in a much safer way, ensuring that your electric panels are wired safely along with keeping an eye out for corrosion or rust is very important for the homeowner to keep in mind.
